Our research uses narrative photovoice, a method that lets participants become co-researchers by capturing images of their everyday lives. The tactile, instant nature of Polaroids fosters reflection, dialogue, and ownership over the story being told — without filters or edits.
We’re beginning to see how this ‘low-tech’ tool opens high-value conversations about identity, labor, and change in the face of increasing tourism.
